IT Manager – Strategy, Governance & Digital Transformation

About the role

The IT Manager will lead the development and execution of the organisation’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements. This senior position oversees governance, digital transformation, security, and service delivery across all business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the IT strategy and roadmap, set investment priorities and risk appetite.
• Partner with business leaders to translate functional strategies into IT solutions and drive process digitisation across Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Sales, Quality and Laboratory.
• Manage the technology project portfolio, sequencing initiatives, and ensuring delivery within time, scope and budget.
• Identify, classify and remediate security vulnerabilities; maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and manage cyber‑security awareness and incident response.
• Oversee reliable operation of infrastructure, applications, networks and end‑user services; maintain asset registers and lifecycle management.
• Develop data and analytics capabilities, reporting platforms and data quality standards.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, service level agreements and financial performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading IT strategy, governance and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan data protection regulations and AI governance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑disciplinary projects and large vendor relationships.
