Lecturer Grade 12 – Agricultural Economics

About the role
Egerton University seeks a Lecturer Grade 12 in Agricultural Economics to join its Faculty of Agriculture. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, supervising students, and contributing to the university’s research agenda.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Agricultural Economics.
- Prepare, administer and grade examinations and assignments.
- Conduct research, publish in refereed journals, and secure research funding.
- Supervise student projects, theses, and internships.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic committees.
Required profile
- PhD in Agricultural Economics (or a Master’s degree with equivalent experience).
- Minimum three (3) years of university‑level teaching or relevant research/industry experience.
- At least twenty‑four (24) publication points, with sixteen (16) from refereed scholarly journals.
- Registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
