About the role
We are seeking a remote Biology expert to design and solve challenging biology problems for evaluating large language models. This short‑term contract involves 8 hours of work per day with a 4‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time, lasting approximately 11 weeks.
Key responsibilities
- Design and solve challenging biology problems to evaluate large language models.
- Develop clear, step‑by‑step biology solutions with detailed reasoning.
- Collaborate with LLM researchers on evaluation benchmarks and reasoning tasks.
- Help define new evaluation benchmarks spanning undergraduate to PhD‑level biology.
- Analyze and solve complex biological problems using a logical, structured approach.
- Explain biology concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, and simulations where needed.
Required profile
- Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields.
- Strong research and analytical skills with creative, lateral thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
