Sales & Customer Service Representative

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Sales & Customer Service Representative in Ngara for its laboratory equipment supplies business. The role covers inside sales, account management and customer support, with a starting gross salary of KShs 27,000.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming inquiries, qualify leads and turn prospects into long-term clients by phone, email and in-person consultations.
• Use scientific knowledge to explain product specifications, usage and applications, and recommend suitable solutions.
• Prepare accurate price quotations, follow up on pending proposals, negotiate sales terms within company guidelines and close deals.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customer support, handling inquiries and issues promptly and accurately.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate and individual accounts to drive repeat business.
• Collect customer feedback, log complaints and work with operational teams to resolve them.
• Record and track customer orders from inquiry to delivery and invoicing, and keep client databases, sales logs and communication history up to date.
• Verify stock availability with logistics and inventory teams and coordinate timely dispatch.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or a related science.
• Proven experience in sales, office-based sales support or customer service; experience in chemical, laboratory or scientific product sales is a strong advantage.
• Ability to quickly learn, understand and explain technical and chemical product details to non-technical buyers.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
