Sales Development Representative – SMB (Africa)

About the role
Deel is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) focused on the SMB segment across Africa. The SDR will be the first point of contact for prospective customers, helping to generate qualified pipeline and support the sales team’s growth objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect new business opportunities through inbound and outbound channels, including email, phone, social media, events, and targeted campaigns.
- Research and qualify leads by understanding their needs, challenges, and readiness to engage with Deel’s payroll and HR platform.
- Educate prospects on Deel’s product suite, uncovering how it can solve their global workforce challenges.
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in the CRM system.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to hand over qualified opportunities and ensure a smooth transition.
Required profile
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a curiosity‑driven mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth SaaS environment.
- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and comfortable handling both inbound and outbound outreach.
Required skills
- Excellent written and verbal English proficiency.
