Senior Communications Officer, Campaigns (Africa Regional Office)

About the role

The Senior Communications Officer, Campaigns, Africa Regional Office will lead the design and execution of audience‑first communications campaigns that advance the foundation’s priorities across Africa. You will work in a matrixed environment, partnering with the Africa Team, Communications Division, and Global Policy & Advocacy to ensure campaigns are insight‑driven, locally grounded, and globally aligned.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated communications campaign strategies and plans.
• Shape creative and content briefs, build audience journeys, and manage distribution channels.
• Lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority, using influence to align stakeholders.
• Partner with Measurement and Insights to define KPIs, conduct message and creative testing, and generate post‑campaign insights.
• Collaborate with advocacy leads, country communication leads, and media teams to ensure strategic alignment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading communications campaigns in a multinational or regional context.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively across matrixed organizations.
• Excellent analytical mindset to translate insights into actionable campaign tactics.
