Senior Human Resource Officer - Flowers

About the role

AAA Growers Limited is recruiting a Senior Human Resource Officer to support all HR activities within its Flowers Division. The role focuses on workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, talent development, employee relations and HR compliance, working closely with divisional management to improve operational efficiency and employee performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate divisional organograms and job descriptions aligned with the approved grading framework
• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for operational and supervisory positions and handle onboarding
• Develop and monitor employee KPIs, coordinate performance reviews and track improvement initiatives
• Maintain talent records, support succession planning, identify development needs and coordinate training programmes
• Provide first-line HR support, help line managers resolve workplace issues and escalate formal matters
• Maintain HR records, prepare periodic reports and ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies and social audit standards

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in human resource management or an equivalent qualification
• At least three years of HR experience in an operational environment
• Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, job description and organogram management, and KPI frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in floriculture, cut flower production or a similar agricultural environment is an added advantage
• Knowledge of social audit standards such as Fairtrade, GRASP and SMETA is an added advantage
