Shovel Operator – Wheel Loader Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Shovel Operator to safely run a wheel loader equipped with two interchangeable attachments. The role ensures a continuous, efficient flow of raw materials, finished products and waste throughout the plant and storage yards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the wheel loader with dual blades/buckets to load, transport, stack and unload materials according to production schedules.
• Feed raw materials into hoppers, crushers or designated production areas while maintaining accurate stockpile organization.
• Conduct daily pre‑start and post‑operation inspections of the equipment, checking fuel, hydraulics, tires, brakes and safety systems.
• Report any defects or unsafe conditions immediately and keep the machine clean and ready for use.
• Follow all company safety procedures, wear required PPE and participate in safety meetings.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate (KCSE) or equivalent.
• Valid heavy‑equipment operator’s licence and a class G driving licence.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating a shovel or wheel loader in an industrial, mining or construction environment.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
