About the role
The Unit Leader will drive recruitment, coaching, and performance of Liberty Life insurance agents across multiple Kenyan regions. Reporting to the Agency Manager, you will ensure the team meets production targets while upholding the company’s ethical standards.
Key responsibilities
- Recruit, train, supervise and motivate agents to solicit and submit insurance and annuity applications.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching and mentorship to raise individual and team performance.
- Identify high‑performers, set monthly performance contracts and monitor goal achievement.
- Prepare weekly production reports for the Agency Manager.
- Build and maintain a strong client base and lead pipeline for agents.
- Implement market‑dominance strategies by cultivating relationships with employer markets and tracking sales performance.
Required profile
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or equivalent insurance qualification with a current IRA licence.
- Academic Diploma or Diploma in Insurance.
- Minimum three years of proven performance in a financial institution or insurance sector.
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical business practices.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and presentation abilities.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑faceted team environment with minimal supervision.
- Problem‑solving aptitude and experience coaching a sales team.
- Prior leadership experience in insurance sales is an advantage.
