Accounts Assistant – Animal Health Vaccine Distributor

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the finance function of a leading distributor of animal health vaccines. The role involves handling accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records using Quickbooks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices and pro‑forma invoices.
• Record customer payments in Quickbooks, allocate them to the correct invoices, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations, investigate unreconciled items, and maintain proper documentation for all bank transactions.
• Post accounting transactions accurately, ensure proper coding, and flag duplicate or missing entries for review.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly P&L, cash‑flow, receivables, payables, and collection reports.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic accounting files for easy retrieval during audits.

Required profile

• O’ Level qualifications with fully completed CPA qualifications, or a university degree with at least CPA Part II.
• Minimum two years of experience in a busy manufacturing or distribution environment, preferably in animal health, veterinary, or pharmaceuticals.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Quickbooks accounting software.
