Chef de Partie – Neapolitan Pizza Kitchen

About the role

Peponi’s is a contemporary Neapolitan‑style pizzeria in Nairobi looking for a full‑time Chef de Partie. You will lead a specific kitchen section, preparing artisan pizzas and related menu items while upholding the restaurant’s high standards of quality and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a designated kitchen station, preparing and cooking Neapolitan‑style pizzas according to recipes.
• Organise mise en place and ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
• Monitor stock levels, handle inventory, and coordinate with the kitchen team for smooth service.
• Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards throughout the shift.
• Support training of junior staff and assist in menu development and daily specials.
• Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and front‑of‑house team to deliver an excellent guest experience.

Required profile

• Fast, energetic, and passionate about cooking.
• Strong culinary background with experience in a professional kitchen.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
• Effective communication skills for a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, stand for long periods, and handle multiple orders during peak times.
• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role is preferred.
• Relevant culinary training or certification is a plus.
