Cook – Full-time position in Nairobi

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our kitchen team in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves preparing a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and menu specifications.
• Plate food attractively, ensuring correct portion sizes and timely service.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Store food properly, monitor temperatures, check expiry dates and apply FIFO stock rotation.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely, reporting any faults immediately.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, follow instructions from the Head Cook or Supervisor, and support colleagues during peak periods.
• Manage time effectively under pressure, prioritising tasks to meet service deadlines.

Required profile

• Certificate in Food Production or a related field.
• At least one month of proven experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and food safety standards.
