Customer Growth Associate (Technical)

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Growth Associate (Technical) to drive merchant acquisition, deployment and support for TamuPOS in Nairobi. The role blends sales, implementation and technical problem‑solving, giving you ownership from the first contact to post‑launch optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and close restaurant and café merchants across Nairobi, conduct demos and manage the sales pipeline.
• Configure new accounts end‑to‑end: menu setup, payment integration, hardware installation and on‑site training for cashiers and managers.
• Reproduce, diagnose and fix bugs in the TamuPOS stack, building small tools or integrations as needed.
• Provide first‑line support via WhatsApp, phone and email, handling critical issues promptly and maintaining ongoing communication.
• Gather merchant feedback and translate recurring pain points into product improvement proposals.

Required profile

• Self‑starter who takes initiative without waiting for direction.
• Detail‑oriented with a quality‑assurance mindset; enjoys breaking and improving systems.
• Comfortable selling in person, building trust with restaurant owners and closing deals.
• Technically curious, able to learn APIs, dashboards and configuration tools quickly.
• Clear communicator, calm under pressure and enjoys frequent interaction with customers.
• Based in Nairobi and able to work on‑site throughout the city.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of software configuration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with API concepts and integration workflows.
• Experience with point‑of‑sale hardware setup (tablets, stands, payment terminals).
