Digital Transformation Project Manager (Remote)

About the role

The Digital Transformation Project Manager (PMIII) leads the delivery of strategic digital initiatives within the Delivery Centre of Excellence of the Global Technology & Digital Solutions division of World Vision. The role covers the full value chain, from validated requirements through build, quality assurance, release and operational readiness, and coordinates Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Change & Adoption and wider GTD functions such as Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Operations. It is a full-time, remote position based in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Manage delivery across the CoE value chain, from validated intent through build, QA, release and operational readiness, keeping dependencies, risks and key decisions under control
• Enable change and adoption by integrating it into delivery plans, supporting communications, training and operational transition
• Serve as the central coordination point for stakeholders, run steering committees and delivery reviews, and report progress, risks and trade-offs
• Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans covering scope, milestones, resourcing and forecasts, and track progress against them
• Manage project finances including budgeting, forecasting and cost control, and monitor variances early
• Identify and manage delivery, operational and organisational risks, and resolve complex issues
• Support vendor sourcing, evaluation and onboarding, and ensure vendor delivery meets CoE standards
• Apply CoE standards and governance, coach delivery teams, capture lessons learned and improve delivery maturity

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification; Agile or hybrid delivery certification (Scrum, Disciplined Agile, SAFe) preferred; change management certification desirable
• At least 7 years of experience, including 4+ years managing complex IT projects
• Proven ability to lead delivery teams, engage stakeholders and coach others in applying project standards
• Strong communication in English, written and spoken
