Director of ICT (Information, Communication & Technology)

About the role

Amref Health Africa seeks a senior leader to provide strategic oversight of all ICT functions, ensuring technology drives digital health impact, organisational agility and data‑driven decision‑making across its multi‑country operations. The role will shape the ICT strategy, embed modern delivery models and champion innovation throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute an enterprise‑wide ICT strategy aligned with Amref’s mission and business objectives.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, including AI, automation, advanced analytics and cloud modernization.
• Oversee enterprise and network architecture, ICT service management, ERP solutions and cybersecurity controls.
• Manage the ICT budget, vendor relationships and cost‑optimisation programmes.
• Develop and enforce ICT policies, standards and compliance with data‑privacy regulations such as GDPR.
• Mentor and build a high‑performing ICT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required profile

• Master’s (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science, ICT, Business Administration or related field; French proficiency is an advantage.
• 12+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years in management and at least 2 years at senior management level in a comparable organisation.
