Finance & Programme Associate Consultant – Remote

About the role

The Finance and Programme Associate Consultant will support the implementation of the ACT to End Violence against Women and Girls Programme, ensuring financial compliance and effective resource management across UN Women’s global and regional teams. Working remotely, the role collaborates with programme coordinators, finance specialists, and the EU Financial Specialist to deliver timely and accurate financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Implement financial strategies for the EVAW Programme in full compliance with UN Women rules, regulations, and policies.
• Review, verify, and correct financial transactions and documentation, reporting any irregularities.
• Monitor financial exception reports, investigate anomalies, and provide recommendations to supervisors.
• Prepare draft reports on financial status, exchange rates, costs, and expenditures.
• Follow up on audit recommendations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Collect, verify, and present data for financial planning and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of UN Women financial regulations, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work under matrix supervision with regional and headquarters teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and coordination across multiple locations.
