Food & Beverage Supervisor – Events & Conferencing

About the role

Join a leading boutique luxury apart‑hotel in Nairobi as a Food & Beverage Supervisor focused on events and conferencing. You will oversee the delivery of high‑end food and beverage services for meetings, banquets, conferences and private functions, ensuring every guest experience meets luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise set‑up and execution of conferences, meetings, banquets and private events.
• Ensure food and beverage service is efficient, polished and aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
• Brief and lead service teams before and during events, maintaining calm and solution‑focused leadership.
• Coordinate closely with Events, Kitchen and F&B teams for seamless service delivery.
• Monitor guest requirements, respond promptly to requests, and resolve service issues.
• Maintain correct table settings, buffet presentations, service equipment and event layouts.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and guest service.
• Assist with stock control, requisitions and optimal use of F&B resources.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in food & beverage within a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel, conference facility or luxury hospitality environment.
• Previous banqueting, events or conference experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Proven ability to supervise, motivate and lead a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a guest‑focused attitude.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
