Food Server – Full-time Hospitality Role

About the role

Canteen Cafe is seeking a friendly and reliable Food Server to join its on‑site team in Nairobi County. This full‑time position involves delivering prompt, courteous service to guests in a casual dining environment while upholding the cafe’s high standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus, and take orders accurately.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
• Maintain clean, organized tables and service areas throughout the shift.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth order flow.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and payment processing using POS systems.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service and communication abilities.
• Experience or knowledge of food‑and‑beverage operations; prior serving experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple tables.
• Attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, and flexibility for weekend, evening, and holiday shifts.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is beneficial.
