Full Stack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join Kabori’s Nairobi team. You will work on an AI‑driven platform that amplifies senior engineers’ productivity, focusing on building and refining user‑facing product surfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end development of frontend features, from design to production.
• Shape product direction and roadmap in close collaboration with backend and AI teams.
• Implement real‑time communication components such as chat, notifications, or live log streams.
• Build and maintain automated frontend QA pipelines using Playwright.
• Partner with AI coding tools to boost personal and team output.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan work permit.
• Based in Nairobi or willing to relocate for full‑time on‑site work.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Svelte or React with TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for automated frontend testing.
• Proven ability to create and maintain automated frontend QA pipelines.
• Experience building real‑time communication features (chat, notifications, live streaming).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD (nice to have).
• Daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Kimi K2, DeepSeek) for at least six months.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into production products (nice to have).
• Knowledge of design collaboration tools such as Figma (nice to have).
