About the role
World Vision is seeking a qualified Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to join the Kenya Big Dream Phase III programme in Migori County, Kenya. The incumbent will lead the day‑to‑day coordination of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities, ensuring high‑quality data collection, program assessment, reporting and learning across the project sites.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain a monitoring framework and M&E plan aligned with program objectives and donor requirements.
- Coordinate routine field monitoring, data collection (including Open Data Kit) and beneficiary tracking across multiple counties.
- Prepare and submit donor reports, management reports and compliance documentation in line with World Vision and donor standards.
- Support the development of tools, guidelines and digital systems for data quality assurance and analysis.
- Facilitate learning sessions, document stories of change and manage knowledge‑sharing mechanisms with partners and the University of Nairobi.
- Ensure accountability mechanisms, complaints management and community feedback processes are functional.
Required profile
- 2‑3 years of experience in program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation within an international NGO or similar development organization.
- Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences or a related field.
- Experience working on donor‑funded programmes and familiarity with donor reporting requirements.
- Strong communication and networking abilities and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Committed Christian able to provide spiritual leadership and uphold World Vision safeguarding policies.
Required skills
- Data collection using Open Data Kit or other mobile data collection tools.
- Data analysis and interpretation with statistical software such as SPSS or Stata.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- GIS/Remote‑sensing mapping for program geographic coverage.
- Experience with digital beneficiary tracking systems and MIS databases.
