Hotel Supervisor – Operations & Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Hotel Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Westlands property in Nairobi. The role ensures seamless service delivery, guest satisfaction and efficient coordination across all hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day hotel operations, monitoring compliance with policies and service standards.
• Coordinate activities among front office, housekeeping, food & beverage and support teams to maintain smooth workflow.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints and special requests, striving for high customer satisfaction.
• Prepare duty rosters, monitor attendance, grooming and performance of staff, and provide coaching as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas and facilities, reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Support restaurant, bar and catering services, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor inventory of housekeeping, food, beverage and operational supplies, assisting with stock‑taking and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hospitality regulations and manage incident reporting.
• Prepare daily operational and shift handover reports for management review.

Required profile

• Entry‑level qualification with at least 24 months of experience in hotel operations.
• Strong understanding of hospitality standards, guest relations and staff supervision.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
