Investment Analyst – Africa & Middle East (French speaker)

About the role

Enabling Qapital is seeking a motivated Investment Analyst to support its impact‑focused portfolio across Africa and the Middle East. The role involves managing investee relationships, conducting financial and ESG analysis, and contributing to new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and store governance, credit, financial and ESG data for current and prospective investees.
• Perform regular monitoring reviews (monthly to annual) and assess risk profiles, including economic, political and natural disaster factors.
• Assist in investment selection, due‑diligence trips, and preparation of investment proposals for the Investment Committee.
• Support loan documentation, negotiation and transaction closing, and create portfolio analysis reports for senior management and investors.
• Research market trends, build pipelines, and contribute to new product development and internal tool improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in banking, impact investing or economic development, with exposure to lending or investment management.
• Strong interest in impact investing, SDG initiatives, clean energy or financial inclusion.
• Excellent written and spoken English and French.
• Ability to travel regularly to investees in Africa.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
