Manager, Technology Portfolio and Delivery

About the role

Britam is seeking a senior leader to own the delivery of its flagship technology programmes, including a Group ERP and HRIS rollout across multiple markets. The role will set up governance, planning, budgeting and architectural controls before design starts, and remain accountable for scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and benefits through go-live and transition to business-as-usual.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise each programme by securing charter approval, defining governance, decision rights and success metrics, and validating business cases and resources.
• Own the integrated plan across all workstreams – solution build, integration, data migration, testing, security, cut-over and market deployment – and enforce stage-gated controls.
• Lead in-house software teams that develop integrations, extensions, reports and self-service journeys, ensuring a single prioritized backlog and adherence to engineering standards.
• Chair the client design authority, challenge unnecessary customisation, oversee data migration and reconciliation, and ensure secure, compliant go-live across insurance, banking, payroll and other core systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large-scale ERP/HRIS or similar technology programmes in a multi-market environment.
• Strong governance and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to drive decisions and resolve escalations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks and benefits throughout a programme lifecycle.
• Experience leading software engineering teams and coordinating complex integrations.
