Modern Trade Sales Executive

About the role

The Modern Trade Sales Executive will drive sales growth across supermarkets, hypermarkets and large retail outlets for a leading FMCG company. You will develop and execute strategies to meet monthly, quarterly and annual targets while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and negotiate product listings to expand market coverage.
• Monitor competitor activity and propose proactive measures to maintain market leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with modern‑trade clients, handling inquiries, complaints and escalations.
• Plan and execute in‑store promotions, ensuring product visibility and compliance with merchandising standards.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain, finance and marketing teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts and KPI analysis for management.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in modern‑trade sales within the FMCG sector.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale retail outlets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Customer‑centric, innovative mindset with a passion for results.
