Part-time Lecturer in Health Professions Education

About the role

The Department of Health Systems Management & Development at Amref International University seeks a part‑time lecturer to deliver public health education and support curriculum development for graduate and undergraduate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars and skills‑based sessions in Public Health.
• Design, develop, review and implement curricula and syllabi.
• Develop, moderate and administer examinations and provide academic advising.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and university committees, quality‑assurance and accreditation activities.
• Mentor junior academic staff and supervise postgraduate researchers.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, apply for grants and publish findings.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Health (Health Professions Education/Medical Education) or related discipline.
• At least three years of university teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, postgraduate supervision and scholarly publication.
• Registered with relevant professional body where applicable.
