About the role

Peponi's is a contemporary Neapolitan‑style pizza restaurant in Nairobi looking for a passionate Pizzaiolo to join its lively kitchen team. You will work closely with the Head Chef and owners to craft world‑class pizzas and maintain the high standards that define the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Neapolitan‑style pizzas to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality in every pie.
• Manage the dough‑making process daily, including fermentation, proofing, and shaping.
• Maintain and operate the wood‑fired oven, controlling temperature and timing with confidence.
• Collaborate on menu development, experimenting with toppings, ingredients, and seasonal specials.
• Train and guide kitchen team members to uphold Peponi’s standards of quality and service.
• Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and food‑safety compliance at all times.
• Monitor inventory, manage prep lists, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure freshness and efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Pizza Chef, Pizzaiolo, or similar role in a fast‑paced restaurant.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent results under pressure.
• Leadership qualities and a collaborative spirit; you thrive in a team environment.
• Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and professional standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
