Presales Consultant – Splunk

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Presales Consultant specialized in Splunk solutions, focusing on Observability, Security, and Data Analytics across Africa. The role involves driving presales activities, delivering enablement sessions, and supporting channel partners with frequent travel.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with partners and customers to gather business and technical requirements for log management, security analytics, SIEM, and observability use cases.
• Design end‑to‑end Splunk architectures, including data onboarding strategies, use‑case development, and ROI articulation.
• Conduct technical workshops, proof‑of‑concepts, and demos to demonstrate measurable value.
• Analyze customer environments and recommend improvements in security monitoring, threat detection, and observability.
• Stay updated on the latest Splunk features, integrations, and industry trends.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of presales or solution engineering experience with Splunk, SIEM, or observability platforms.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements across regions.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Africa.

Required skills

• Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
• Data ingestion, parsing, indexing, and dashboard creation within Splunk.
• Integration of Splunk with various data sources, applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and security tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as SIEM, SOAR, and threat detection.
