Program Specialist – Master Trainer for NYOTA Refugee Business Development

About the role
DRC is recruiting a Business Development Services (BDS) Delivery Specialist to provide high‑quality, contextualised business development training and coaching to refugee youth in Kakuma/Kalobeyei and Dadaab. The role combines entrepreneurship training, socio‑emotional skill development and inclusive facilitation under the supervision of the Team Leader.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver approved BDS classroom sessions covering core business skills, entrepreneurial mindset, soft skills and digital tools, using experiential methods adapted to local market realities.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group coaching on business modelling, pricing, cash flow, bookkeeping, marketing and customer service.
- Support and/or deliver Training of Trainers (ToT) using the approved curriculum, ensuring consistent application and providing feedback on participant needs.
- Apply gender‑responsive, disability‑inclusive and trauma‑informed approaches, maintaining safe, non‑discriminatory learning environments.
- Maintain accurate participant records, attendance, training reports and coordinate with mentors and project staff for post‑training support.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of experience implementing BDS programmes, including business/entrepreneurship training.
- Experience working with youth and vulnerable populations in refugee settings.
- Experience delivering Training of Trainers and facilitating in multiple languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship, business management or a related field.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili; Somali proficiency highly desirable.
