Recruitment Lead (Fintech/Payments/Nigerian Market)

About the role

Our client is a technology company focused on solving payments challenges for businesses across Africa. As Recruitment Lead, you will own and drive the talent acquisition strategy, partnering with functional leads and hiring managers to attract top‑tier talent for a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive recruiting efforts across the organization, building a large talent pool of bar‑raising candidates.
• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for multiple departments and seniority levels.
• Collaborate with leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop workforce planning strategies.
• Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies aligned with company goals.
• Maintain a strong talent pipeline through sourcing, networking, and employer branding initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment metrics, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, platforms, and recruitment tools.
• Organize and attend job fairs, networking events, and employer branding activities.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in HR/recruitment at fast‑growing tech start‑ups or scale‑ups.
• Proven track record recruiting niche or hard‑to‑find talent in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong sourcing abilities using LinkedIn, job boards and social media.
• Comfortable navigating Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Teamtailor.
• Data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Creative problem‑solver with a passion for building relationships.
