HR Internship – Support HRIS Implementation

About the role

Join Career Directions Limited as an HR Intern in Nairobi, supporting the rollout of a new Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and day‑to‑day HR operations. This role offers hands‑on experience in data migration, system testing, and general HR administration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HRIS implementation by liaising with the vendor, preparing data, testing features and troubleshooting issues.
• Support user acceptance testing and train HR staff and employees on the new system.
• Maintain a tracker of employee letters, contracts and renewal dates, flagging upcoming expirations.
• Draft standard HR correspondence such as offer letters and contract renewals for review.
• Provide general administrative support including filing, record‑keeping, onboarding and off‑boarding activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from a recognised Kenyan university.
• At least one year of experience in an HR role or internship, with prior exposure to HRIS systems.
• Experience in a fast‑paced environment; tech‑industry experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
