Risk Manager

About the role

The Risk Manager will lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks that could affect the company's health and objectives. Working within PC’s risk management framework, the role ensures compliance with regulations and protects the organization’s assets across multiple construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the Corporate Property & Casualty Program, Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP), Subcontractor Default Insurance Program (SDI), Builder’s Risk, and other project‑specific coverages.
• Review bid documents, contracts, lease agreements, and purchase orders to determine insurance requirements and issue certificates of insurance.
• Track subcontractor flow‑down insurance requirements and maintain sample certificates for consistency.
• Coordinate with third‑party compliance vendors, evaluate exceptions, and approve where appropriate.
• Maintain schedules of insured projects, prepare quarterly audit reports, and manage policy adjustments such as limit increases and extensions.
• Oversee schedules of insurable assets, including property, equipment, vehicles, trailers, and drones.
• Monitor riggers’ liability exposures and ensure accurate tracking of values and locations.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of proven experience in construction risk management, insurance underwriting, or account management.
• Extensive knowledge of the insurance market and construction industry practices.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in South Burlington, VT, or regional offices in Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; or Alexandria, VA.
