Sales Director – Chinese Speaking, Africa

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, results‑driven Sales Director to lead business development across Africa. The role focuses on government, public‑sector and ecosystem partners, driving revenue in digital identity, border management, smart transportation and digital transformation projects. This is an individual‑contributor position that requires full ownership of the sales cycle from market engagement to contract award.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet annual revenue and order targets.
• Identify, qualify and pursue opportunities with ministries, agencies, transportation authorities and other public‑sector organisations.
• Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with government decision‑makers, consultants, system integrators and industry partners.
• Lead the complete sales lifecycle: discovery, proposal development, bid response, commercial negotiation and contract award.
• Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting and sales activity tracking in CRM systems.
• Monitor public‑sector procurement plans, tenders and digital transformation initiatives.
• Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions and government forums.
• Collaborate with product management, solution architects, presales consultants and delivery teams to craft winning solutions.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales experience, preferably in government or public‑sector markets.
• Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
• Deep understanding of government procurement processes and digital‑transformation projects.
• Extensive network of contacts within African ministries, agencies and ecosystem partners.
• Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) with the ability to engage Chinese‑speaking stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage the full sales cycle.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems for pipeline management and forecasting.
