Sales & Marketing Manager – Pre‑Opening Hospitality Role

About the role

We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager to launch the commercial operation of a new hotel property on Kenya's North Coast. Based in Nairobi with regular travel to Mombasa, you will build the sales pipeline, distribution channels and brand reputation from the ground up before the hotel opens in December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a full‑cycle sales and marketing strategy for a pre‑opening hotel.
• Identify, prospect and secure corporate, leisure and OTA accounts without an existing client base.
• Create rate sheets, negotiate contracts and conduct site inspections.
• Manage all outbound communications – calls, emails and proposals – personally.
• Oversee a dedicated budget for specialist services such as photography, video, media buying, PR and design, briefing and managing external providers.
• Report directly to the General Manager and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 7 years (84 months) of relevant experience.
• Proven track record of opening or repositioning a hospitality property.
• Ability to work independently without a large corporate sales structure.
• Strong network of contacts in the tourism and travel sector.
• Legal right to work in Kenya.
