Senior Financial and Transaction Advisor

About the role

Rebel East Africa is looking for a Senior Financial and Transaction Advisor to join its Nairobi office. The role focuses on providing high‑level financial advisory and transaction support for infrastructure and development projects across Sub‑Saharan Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute transaction advisory assignments for public and private sector clients, including PPPs, water‑treatment, renewable energy and telecom tower projects.
• Develop and maintain investment‑grade financial models to assess project viability and structure equity or debt financing.
• Collaborate with development partners, banks and DFIs to design financing solutions that meet both commercial and impact objectives.
• Prepare detailed transaction documents, financial memoranda and presentation materials for investors and stakeholders.
• Support business development activities by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposal writing.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in development finance, transaction advisory, project finance or related fields.
• Proven track record of advising on infrastructure projects in East Africa or the broader Sub‑Saharan region.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Deep understanding of project finance structures, equity and debt instruments.
• Familiarity with PPP frameworks and regulatory environments in African markets.
