Senior Manager - ICT

About the role

Afia Concept Claims Settling Agency (ACS) is hiring a full-time, on-site Senior Manager ICT in Nairobi. The role provides strategic and operational leadership for the development, implementation and management of ACS's ICT infrastructure, systems and digital solutions, which support healthcare claims administration, pre-authorisation, member and provider services, data management and business operations. Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an ICT strategy, advise the COO and senior management on technology investments, and build an ICT roadmap covering infrastructure, applications, integration, cybersecurity and business continuity.
• Oversee business applications for claims processing, pre-authorisation, member and provider management, and drive automation of manual processes; manage member and provider portals and work with vendors on implementations.
• Manage ICT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud services, devices), set service standards, incident management procedures and SLAs, and run the ICT helpdesk.
• Develop and enforce ICT security policies, access controls, data protection compliance and periodic vulnerability reviews; coordinate incident response and maintain audit trails.
• Develop, test and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including backups, recovery time and point objectives and response coordination.
• Support data quality, management dashboards, reporting and business intelligence, and manage vendor relationships, contracts and procurement.
• Manage the annual ICT budget, prepare investment business cases, oversee asset management and lead, coach and develop ICT staff.
• Maintain an ICT risk register, coordinate audits and vulnerability assessments, and report risks and incidents to the COO.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field; a master's degree is an added advantage.
• At least 8 years of relevant ICT experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Demonstrable experience managing ICT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, systems integration and technology service delivery.
• Experience in cloud services, business continuity, disaster recovery, data management and information security.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, health financing, claims administration or another regulated environment is an advantage.

Required skills

• Professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, CISSP, CISM, CISA, cloud technologies or project management are an advantage.
• Relevant training in information security, data protection, enterprise systems or IT service management is desirable.
