Senior Revenue Accountant

About the role

The Senior Revenue Accountant will oversee all revenue streams for a retail and FMCG business, ensuring accurate capture, recording and reporting of sales and receivables. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role strengthens internal controls, manages debtors and reconciles POS collections while providing analytical insights for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and report revenue in line with company policies and accounting standards; prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual revenue reports.
• Manage trade debtors and receivables, perform regular reconciliations, maintain ageing analysis and issue monthly statements.
• Reconcile daily POS collections with system sales, covering cash, mobile money, card payments and bank transfers.
• Conduct cash and bank reconciliations, ensure all collections are fully banked.
• Support internal audits and continuously improve revenue processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA qualification preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in revenue accounting within retail or supermarket environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and Swahili with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
