Solutions Manager – Solar PV & Energy Storage

About the role

Chronos Consulting is seeking a Solutions Manager to lead technical support and power plant design for solar PV and energy storage projects across Africa. The role combines on‑site engineering, design consultancy, and project coordination to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for market development, conduct preliminary site surveys and prepare pre‑feasibility study reports.
• Support EPC construction, resolve technical issues on‑site, and confirm site conditions during construction.
• Develop technical standards, assist with equipment selection and procurement.
• Consult on photovoltaic electrical systems and develop engineering solutions.
• Design electrical systems for solar PV and energy storage projects, prepare construction and as‑built drawings, and review external design documents.
• Implement and coordinate engineering design changes as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Automation, Photovoltaic Power Generation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the solar PV and energy storage industry.
• Strong knowledge of industry technical standards, regulations, and high‑/low‑voltage electrical systems.
• Experience designing photovoltaic systems, substations, and power distribution networks.
• Ability to conduct on‑site surveys, prepare technical tender documents, and manage project quality.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site.
