Sonographer – Ultrasound Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Sonographer to join our radiology team in Westlands, Nairobi. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality ultrasound examinations and provide accurate diagnostic information to support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients across various clinical departments.
• Acquire, process and interpret ultrasound images following established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to report writing.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated, cleaned and used in compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma in Ultrasound and/or Radiology or Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
• Registered with a valid license from the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
• Member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ultrasound technology and radiology imaging.
• Knowledge of medical imaging principles.
• Experience with Health Management Information Systems and general computer applications.
