About the role
The School of Computing & Informatics at Mount Kenya University is seeking a Tutorial Fellow to deliver undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, assessment, research and student supervision on campus in Nairobi.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver course outlines and learning materials for computing subjects.
- Teach a range of programmes including certificates, diplomas, undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Set, invigilate and grade examinations, ensuring compliance with attendance policies.
- Supervise student projects, conduct defence meetings and provide academic guidance.
- Participate in curriculum review, research activities, publications and conference presentations.
- Attract research funding and support field studies, internships and attachments.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Registered for a PhD in the relevant discipline.
- At least two years of teaching experience in a higher‑education institution.
- Relevant professional registration where applicable.
