About the role
The Head of Department will provide strategic leadership for the ICT and Engineering Department, overseeing teaching, research and programme development in Computer Science. The role is based on‑site in Ruiru and requires full‑time commitment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee programme development, review processes and approve student admissions.
- Manage teaching and examination processes to maintain quality standards.
- Supervise staff performance, attendance, leave and disciplinary matters.
- Monitor student progression, attendance and graduation outcomes.
- Foster industry partnerships and support student mentorship.
Required profile
- PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology or a related field from an accredited university.
- At least three years of university‑level teaching experience and a minimum of one year of management experience.
- Published research and participation in academic conferences, seminars or workshops.
