About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Welder to join its construction team on a contractor basis in Westlands, Kenya. The role involves performing welding tasks on site, ensuring high‑quality metal joins for various building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Join, cut, and repair metal components using appropriate welding equipment.
• Prepare metal surfaces and set up welding machines according to job specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine welding requirements.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with standards.
• Grind, finish, and maintain welded pieces to achieve required tolerances.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years (60 months) practical welding experience.
• Mid‑level qualification with proven ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
