Youth Engagement Migration Consultant (18‑month remote consultancy)

About the role

This 18‑month consultancy supports the PROSPECTS 4 Youth project, which aims to unlock youth engagement in education and employment opportunities for displaced young people. Working remotely under the supervision of the UNICEF Program Specialist for Adolescents and Youth – Migration, the consultant will coordinate inter‑agency technical support across PROSPECTS countries.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Inter‑Agency PROSPECTS4Youth Technical Facility (P4YTF) and Intergenerational Network (P4YIGN).
• Facilitate collaboration with youth focal points at ILO and UNHCR to deliver technical assistance.
• Coordinate the three work streams – Link, Learn, and Localise – to promote knowledge sharing and capacity building.
• Monitor and report on project outputs and outcomes as defined in the approved PROSPECTS Opportunity Fund proposal.
• Support the development of tools, guidelines and learning materials for youth engagement in forced displacement contexts.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., International Development, Education, Migration Studies) or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in youth engagement, migration or humanitarian projects, preferably within inter‑agency settings.
• Strong understanding of education and employment challenges faced by displaced youth.
• Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
