Account Executive – Insurance Brokerage (Uganda)

About the role

We are seeking an energetic Account Executive to join our leading insurance brokerage, supporting our operations in Uganda. You will act as the primary point of contact for both individual and corporate clients, delivering tailored insurance solutions and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of individual and corporate clients, providing policy advice, renewals, and service support.
• Identify new prospects, nurture leads, and present proposals to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Prepare quotations, policy documents, endorsements, and coordinate renewals with underwriting teams and carriers.
• Serve as liaison during the claims process, gathering documentation, liaising with claims teams, and keeping clients informed.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop cross‑selling and upselling strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional insurance certifications (e.g., COP, DIU, CII, ACI) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in insurance account management, client servicing, or underwriting, preferably in IPMI, general, or corporate insurance.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan insurance regulations and regional market dynamics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Navision or similar accounting/insurance software.
• Familiarity with CRM tools for client management.
