Account Manager – Eldoret (Microfinance)

About the role

The Account Manager will manage the full client lifecycle for Tugende’s micro‑finance products in Eldoret, from acquisition through loan disbursement, monitoring and recovery. The role is on‑site and requires regular field visits and motorbike travel.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new customers by visiting stages, business centres and repeat engagements, maintaining up to 200 active leases.
• Vet clients and guarantors according to credit policy, conduct site visits and record information in the CRM.
• Deliver training on asset acquisition terms, payment schedules, insurance and reporting procedures.
• Manage loan disbursement, follow‑up payments, and enforce the no‑cash policy.
• Monitor portfolio performance, handle overdue payments, and initiate recovery actions per policy.
• Resolve customer complaints, coordinate incident management and support clients with asset issues.
• Record all interactions and maintain up‑to‑date client documentation in the system.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in a business‑related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in micro‑finance or related lending environment.
• Proven integrity, transparency and dependability.
• Valid motorbike riding competence (mandatory for field work).
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage customers, guarantors and community members.
