Accountant - Automotive Client (Nairobi)

About the role

Bridge Talent Management is recruiting, on behalf of a leading client in the automotive sector based in Nairobi, a full-time Accountant. The role covers day-to-day financial operations, statutory tax compliance, financial reporting and audit coordination. Salary is Ksh 80,000 to Ksh 100,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, budgets and financial forecasts in line with standard accounting practice.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, post journal entries and reconcile banks, payables and receivables regularly.
• File monthly VAT, PAYE and other statutory obligations with the Kenya Revenue Authority and assist during tax audits.
• Manage invoice payments, monitor customer credit limits, follow up outstanding receivables and maintain vendor relations.
• Implement internal controls to protect company assets and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Full qualification in CPA (K) or ACCA.
• 4 to 5 years of progressive professional accounting experience.
• High analytical accuracy, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and good interpersonal communication.

Required skills

• Accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
