Senior Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

Surgipharm Limited is looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to provide in-depth financial and analytical support to the Finance Director and Commercial leaders. The aim is to improve the quality of decision-making, performance management and planning, thereby strengthening the company's long-term profitability and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the annual planning process, including preparing and disseminating the timetable, gathering commercial and functional inputs and preparing regular re-forecasts.
• Prepare and submit mid-month and year-end flash reports.
• Support negotiations with new principals and regularly monitor the profitability of existing business.
• Prepare monthly performance management reports tracking financial performance, cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency.
• Review financial statements and underlying transactions to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support commercial leaders in negotiating and costing new products and business models.
• Support strategic planning and assess the financial suitability of major Capex investments and business development projects, including preparing justifications and AFEs.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Finance Director, MD and other senior leaders.

Required profile

• Degree from a recognised university, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Qualified Accountant (CPA-K, ACCA) or equivalent.
• 10 years of experience, of which at least 3 in Management Accounting, Finance Partnering or related disciplines.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of IFRS and accounting GAAPs.
• Thorough understanding of financial controls.
• Good knowledge of ERP accounting packages.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other analytical tools.
• Good understanding of business models and distribution economics, including accounting, tax and treasury implications.
