Accountant – Retail Finance

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations within its retail business. You will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance and cash management, ensuring the finance function runs smoothly and meets statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile bank statements and prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Assist during internal and external audits.
• Prepare monthly tax returns and statutory remittances.
• Produce creditors’ aging analysis and reconcile supplier statements.
• Generate accurate management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee full accounting operations including payables, receivables, banking and cash controls.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and review records for completeness.

Required profile

• University/College degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA‑K certification or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
