Accounting Clerk – Kenya

About the role
We are seeking a diligent Accounting Clerk to maintain and update our financial records. The role supports all departments by ensuring accurate bookkeeping and timely financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Use Quickbooks (or similar bookkeeping software) to manage daily accounts receivable and payable.
- Receive, record, and reconcile cash, checks, vouchers, and bank statements.
- Process payroll, make purchases, prepare invoices, and monitor overdue accounts.
- Generate profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
- Provide management with up‑to‑date presentations and reports.
- Continuously verify figures to prevent fraud and inaccuracies.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience as an accounting or bookkeeping clerk.
- High school diploma required; accounting coursework preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and high integrity.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and terminology.
