Accounting Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Accounting Specialist on a contract basis to support a global financial services leader. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities in a timely manner.
• Support audit processes by providing accurate documentation and responding to auditor requests.

Required profile

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and team members.
