About the role
The Accounts Assistant will support the finance function of Bungoma Children’s Hospital by handling day‑to‑day financial transactions, managing petty cash and ensuring accurate ledger reconciliations. This full‑time position is based on‑site in Bungoma.
Key responsibilities
- Process financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Manage petty cash, including disbursements and reconciliations.
- Perform ledger reconciliations and support month‑end closing.
- Assist with hospital billing, revenue reconciliation and insurance claim processing.
- Handle accounts receivable and support revenue cycle activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum two (2) years relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- CPA Part II (or CPA qualification II) minimum.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and basic reporting.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with computerized accounting systems.
